Few kitchens in Britannia do without this humble ingredient. Legends about its protective power date back to ancient times, and in modern magical arts garlic is used in defensive spells or to dispel danger or evil. For magical purposes, the plant’s bulb is washed, peeled, and ground into a paste.

Alchemical Uses

Potions that use garlic are employed to cure poison. Anyone can brew a Lesser Cure potion with a single garlic bulb, able to cure level-1 poison. An alchemist can make a stronger version using three bulbs, which cures level-2 poison. A skilled alchemist can instead use five bulbs to create a Greater Cure potion, capable of curing any kind of poison.
